Little Kingston

Little Kingston was 11 days old when we were lucky enough to meet him and his momma.  He did not close his eyes during the whole session, too curious about the world around him!  We were able to create this moment of peace as a keepsake for his family and a memory for the future.

Caelan, Drew and Aislinn

Caelan, Drew and Aislinn were so caring and gentle with each other during our session--they just glowed with confidence.  "Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and kindness and cooperation."  Love that quote!

Sisters

These sisters came to have a wonderful time in the studio and their whimsically fun and spunky spirit comes through in these images!  This close relationship will expand and mature throughout their lives, but they will always have these memories to cherish!

Ryan and Jason

Ryan and Jason have been photographed in our studio from the time they were born.  They have moved away from this area, but their mom continues to bring them to the studio for updated portraits--and it is a special treat for us to see them sprout up and mature.  They are brothers who take care of each other and get along beautifully--a nod to their wonderful parents!  We thank them for allowing us to create a photographic record of their growing years.  When these boys become men these images will convey a reminder of the closeness they shared in their childhood.

Memories for the Future

We have been photographing Jack and Matt since they were born.  This year their Mom wanted to create a reminder of the important and cherished relationship they share with their Grandmother.  You can see by the expressions on all their faces that we succeeded in bringing her wish to fruition.  Generational portraits are an important tradition at our Studio because they will be a lasting memory for the future.

I am volunteering with RBARI (Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.) in Oakland to take photographs of the dogs for their adoption images on line at Petfinders and Facebook.  A beautiful portrait that captures the spirit of the animal assists in more quickly finding a forever home.  Here are seven of them that were adopted this past week.  If you have any questions or are interested in adopting a dog or puppy, call the shelter or call me and I will direct you to the correct place!

This Halloween's Baby Basics Program

These are three of the many Halloween-ers who dropped by to the Studio with diapers and formula for the Baby Basics Program for Children's Aid and Family Services in Ridgewood.  Then we photographed them in their costumes and all their parents will be receiving complimentary portraits for their generosity!

We open the Studio each year for this event, so if you were not able to pop on over this time, there is always next year!  And a special thanks to all the moms and dads who came by a second time as on Halloween weekend, we had snow and no electricity!!

A Surprise Photo

Mom decided to do a portrait as a surprise for her Hubby!  When he sees these two cutie-pie faces nestling into their mama--he will be thrilled and proud to have this image as a reminder of the innocence of childhood and the love of a child for a parent.

A Family Heirloom

This definition of 'Family' says it all!!  We were thrilled this young couple and their children sat for an Heirloom portrait.  Someday the kids will display it for their children and the continuity and memory of this important tradition will be handed down to a new generation.

Daniel and Carolyn

This is such a busy time of year for the Studio.  And we especially enjoy seeing sibling groups or families come together to make a special memory.  We try to capture the spirit and personality of each individual so that we can create an heirloom portrait that will be remembered for generations.

Topspot

This 7 month old Jack-Russell puppy has so much love to give!  She is sweet and cuddly and thrives on walks and exercise.  She is waiting for her forever home at the RBARI animal pet shelter where I volunteer.  If you or anyone else you know is looking to 'adopt some love'--feel free to give them a call at 201-337-5180.

Brian and Lauren

Another important moment to pop in at your favorite portrait studio is when one of your young adults is a senior year in high school or getting ready to go off to college.  At some point in the very near future, it will not so easy to gather your children together as they begin to control their lives and destinies apart from their nuclear family.  Brian and Lauren were wonderful subjects and we were able to create a photograph that their parents will have forever to remind them of this particular time in their young lives.

Adorable Siblings

These five adorable siblings came to our studio recently and we had lots of fun with them!  They were so loving and caring about each other--it was quite touching .  We created portraits of them alone and in pairs and all the hugging and big smiles were genuine and here are the results!!  It is so important to capture the relationships between brothers and sisters--the memories will bring such pleasure to them in the future when they are moms and dads themselves.  And in the meantime the busy parents of these cuties have heirloom portraits for their walls to enjoy every day!

Families are LOVE!

Families are LOVE!  We have been photographing these little ones since they were born--Jane and I just adore these three little boys.  Their mom and dad are funny and delightful and never take anything too seriously, especially when one of the kids decides to act up.  All five of them are full of spirit and life and glee and we just enjoy our sessions with them to the fullest.  After we are done with the sitting there are always sticky hugs and wet kisses for us as we walk out of the studio.  It is such a privilege to follow them as they grow from babies to toddlers to conversational beings.

Don't put off a portrait session and let the years slip by when they will no longer fit on your laps!

Fanny

We are now photographing dogs from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc (RBARI) in Oakland.  Devoted volunteers are bringing these beautiful animals to our studio so we can capture their sweetness and energy for their adoption pics.  This is Franny who lived in a small cage in a puppy mill for her whole life.  She is such a cutie--so many dogs at the shelter need a forever home.  If you are interested or know someone who would love to adopt or foster cats or dogs, please contact them at 201-337-5180.

Katie

Katie came to us recently for a Maternity Session and we utilized her grandmother's shawl.  When she gives birth, we will be photographing her little one in that same shawl.  A powerful and lovely memory to pass down from generation to generation.

We are now offering Complimentary Maternity AND Newborn Sessions.  We will be creating studio books with this portraiture.  Please give us a call and we can tell you about the session and gift image you will receive.  We would love to hear from you!  (201-692-1892)

Zachary

Zachary was eleven days old when we had the privilege of photographing his first few days in the world.  He slept through everything--and his mama and daddy were so very happy with the results!  Remember, if you know someone who is ready to give birth, please ask them to call the studio (201-692-1892) as we would like to offer them a complimentary portrait session and image.  We would love to produce heirloom portraiture for them and for the 2012 newborn book we are producing for the studio.

David is eleven years old and these portraits were taken on his birthday!  After our fun in the studio, he headed for the Bronx Zoo with his mom and a classmate.

David loves animals and his mom loves his portraits, so it was a special day all around for this blonde cutie!

Aiden and Kayla

Aiden and Kayla are wearing their traditional Korean clothing for Aiden's one year celebration.  Their colorful attire will be part of an important memory for their parents.  These commemorative moments are so important to record --we believe we will remember the baby faces and the chubby features, the grade school smile with the missing tooth, the college graduate beaming, or the grandparents proudly holding their grandchildren.

But memory fades. Allow us to create heirloom portraiture to document that experience forever. You won't regret it!

Ephraim

We have been photographing Ephraim and his older siblings from the time he was 3 years old.  He just celebrated his Bar Mitzvah and we were thrilled to continue the tradition of creating an heirloom wall portrait and an album for his mom and dad.  Someday he will be showing these images to his children (although we are sure he cannot imagine that possibility at this moment) and they will never believe that their dad could ever have been so young! Mazel Tov to the family!

Here are Mia and Ava again!!

Ava and Mia, photographed for their holiday portraits and cards, certainly know how to strike a pose and show their attitude!  Their mom brings headbands and hats and bows--which means we get to play in the studio with these two fun-loving and adorable little girls.  We are creating an original holiday card from a variety of  the images--one of the services, for no extra charge , we offer at Lyn Ofrane Photography.

Mia and Ava

Mia and Ava, two of our most fabulous models, came to the studio for their yearly portraits.  No matter how old these two lovely young girls become, their parents will never lose the memories of this moment in time, as it is forever documented in these heirloom portraits.  These sweeties were totally ready for their close-up!

Jason and Friends!!

Jason and his best friends came to our studio this summer.  We were able to capture his boyhood, just for a moment, in real time.  His mama loved the sensitive emotions it evoked and she assured us she would always cherish these portraits.  A boy turns into a man in the wink of an eye--but these heirloom art pieces are forever!

Zach

Zach is off to college already, but he popped into the studio at the end of June.  His mom wanted to have a lasting memory of his senior year, before this next milestone began.  In a few years, he may not be available to be photographed for the various reasons that arise when your student leaves the home. So before your children go off in different directions, we truly enjoy creating these heirloom individual and family images for you, our clients.

Sienna

Miss Sienna gave us quite a challenge, even at 8 days old!  Despite these beautiful and serene images, this bundle of energy refused to go to sleep!  Her mama and daddy tried everything, but she was just too curious about the world to have any of that........We were lucky to grab these portraits during a small amount of lull time.  Can't wait to hear about her teenage years--she is a force to be reckoned with!  Jane and I are so privileged to be part of creating the first portraits of a brand new life!

Three Brothers

Three brothers--all of the personalities just shine right through this portrait!  Their parents are hanging this large portrait on the wall to remind them of this fleeting time in their young sons' lives.  Soon the faces will be more angular, and in a blink of an eye they will be out the door.  Mom and Dad will always have this image to remember a moment in time and this art piece will remain in the family for generations--it is what we love to do!

Emily

Emily is a wonderful violinist and has performed concerts all over the world.  We were enormously proud to create her professional headshots.  Her parents and family are so supportive of her love of music even though it takes her far away at times.  Emily will be famous someday and then we can say we knew her when!!!

Maura

Happy Birthday to little Miss Maura!  This is the second time she has visited the studio. Her Mom and Dad had so much fun at her birthday party displaying the beautiful portraits we created for their cutie pie.  We are excited to be part of the first twelve months of this precious little girl!
